Surgeries at Ark Animal Hospital

All surgical procedures include the latest monitoring equipment and your pet will be monitored during surgery by trained staff.  We utilize the most up to date advanced sterilization techniques and our fully-trained veterinary and technical staff will monitor your pet before, during and after their surgical procedure.

Pre-Surgical Care

Prior to surgery, all patients are carefully screened, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. We recommend pre-surgical blood work so we can evaluate your pet’s kidney, liver and heart function prior to undergoing anesthesia.

We utilize the safest, multi-modal anesthesia techniques available and provide the same level of patient monitoring that you would receive if you were having surgery.  We use ECG monitoring during surgery to monitor your pet’s blood pressure, respiration, heart activity, oxygen saturation and temperature.

Your pet’s pain relief is our top priority. At Ark Animal Hospital, we ensure your pet has minimal pain before, during and after surgery. We utilize multiple therapies to control pain so that your pet is as comfortable as possible until they are fully recovered.
